The Stein Eye Institute consists of three adjacent buildings: the Jules Stein Eye Institute, which was inaugurated in 1966 and currently under renovation to reopen Spring 2017, the Doris Stein Eye Research Center, dedicated for service in 1989, and the state-of-the-art surgical center, the Edie and Lew Wasserman Building, which opened in 2014.
These combined structures provide nearly 300,000 square feet of functional
space to greatly enhance the Stein Eye Institute’s continued evolution into the leading eye care, vision research and educational center of the 21st century.
